W4FCR - The FISTS QSL Bureau Club - is FISTS #7007

The FISTS QSL Bureau Club is in operation with the call W4FCR.  The club includes ten members of the Franklin County Amateur Radio Club who are FISTS members.
All of the members will particpate in putting FISTS #7007 on the air.  These operators are:

K1HEL  Dick  - FISTS #7427
K1SO   Jerry - FISTS #6340
 KA3NZR Harry - FISTS #11316

Also Charlie, K4BSF and Frank, N4FEG who are not FISTS members, but who are "helpers" in the FISTS QSL Bureau may periodically operate W4FCR on CW.

Since the FISTS QSL Bureau Club is an affiliated club of FISTS, contacts with W4FCR are good for 3 points.  Naturally we will QSL via the FISTS QSL Bureau.  If you don't use the Bureau we would appreciate an SASE.

The Club now has Silver, Gold and Diamond Awards as well as Platinum and Platinum-250 and Millionaire.

The Club also has the FISTS-WAS Award.  And, we have the ARRL-WAS Award thanks to getting QSL cards from the FISTS members in all 50 States.

To date we have logged 38 QSO's which lasted 30 minutes or more.  So, you may run into some real Rag Chewers when you contact W4FCR.

So, give a listen for W4FCR

In days of old, when ops were bold,
And sidebands not invented,
The word would pass
By pounding brass,
And all were well contented.

15th Anniversary Award

A QSO with Jim, VA3KV on December 23, 2002 provided the 40th Canadian contact to complete
the requirements for our 15th Anniversary - 300 Award. A "Special" QSL card was been sent to
Jim commemorating this "Milestone" QSO.

The Club received the beautiful 15th Anniversary - 300 Plaque

FISTS Diamond Award

The QSO with Mick, G3RYZ on October 29, 2002 provided the 1000th point for W4FCR and qualified the Club for the FISTS Diamond Award.  A "Special" QSL card has been sent to Mick commemorating this "Milestone" QSO.

Dennis has sent us Diamond Award Certificate # 90.  He thinks W4FCR is the first FISTS affiliated Club to earn the Diamond Award.

The breakdown of the Club's QSO's with 746 members or clubs through November 20, 2002 is as follows:
